Work

Six case studies from seven years of launching and scaling financial products in Brazil and Mexico. Each shows the context, what I owned, what I did and what changed. Company names are left off the figures.

Zero to one

Launching a neobank's credit card in Mexico

Senior Product Manager, International Expansion
Brazilian neobank, Mexico City, 2020–21

2x

profitability per customer

Context
A Brazilian neobank entering Mexico with a credit card, in a market where most people had never had one.
Scope
Growth, financing and fraud for the Mexico launch.
What I did
Launched card financing products (bill financing and buy-now-pay-later), built fraud defenses with the data team, and reworked the acquisition funnel.
Outcome
Profitability per customer doubled while fraud losses came down.

Capabilities: International expansion, credit cards, BNPL, fraud, growth

Zero to one

A crypto card, from hiring the team to product-market fit

Head of Product, Payments
LatAm crypto exchange, Mexico, 2021–23

50%

retention five months after launch

Context
A crypto exchange that needed an everyday way for customers to spend, not just trade.
Scope
Payments product. Founded the payments squad, later two squads with two Senior PMs reporting to me.
What I did
Hired the founding team and led the launch end to end: negotiated with Visa and Mastercard, chose the card processor and BIN sponsor, scoped and shipped the MVP, then iterated to product-market fit.
Outcome
Product-market fit, with 30% conversion and 50% retention after five months.

Capabilities: Payments, card networks, vendor selection, team building, zero to one

Scale

Embedded insurance inside one of LatAm's largest digital banks

VP Digital Growth LatAm, AI & Embedded Insurance
Global insurer, Brazil, 2024–25

3x

partnership revenue in 18 months

Context
A global insurer selling coverage inside a digital bank's app, where every change competes with the bank's own priorities.
Scope
Digital growth across Latin American distribution partners, and the AI workstream.
What I did
Improved the live purchase journeys and launched new lines. Cut a home product that couldn't scale and put fraud protection inside the bank's Pix flow instead. Led the AI workstream for assisted sales inside partners' acquisition flows.
Outcome
Partnership revenue tripled in 18 months. Fraud protection in Pix added 30% revenue.

Capabilities: Embedded insurance, partnerships, Pix, AI-assisted sales

Zero to one, then scale

A B2B account with Pix, in four months

Product Director, Brazil & Global API Integrations
LatAm B2B fintech, São Paulo, 2023–24

2x

Brazil TPV

Context
A corporate card company growing in Brazil, where businesses expect Pix and a real account, not just a card.
Scope
Brazil product and global API integrations, leading a Group PM and two Senior PMs.
What I did
Launched a B2B digital account with indirect Pix under Central Bank rules in four months, and shipped a card-creation API for global integrations.
Outcome
Brazil TPV doubled. NPS rose from 11 to 55, and support contacts fell 30%.

Capabilities: Pix, B2B accounts, regulation, APIs, product leadership

Scale

Insurance distribution across LatAm partners

VP Digital Growth LatAm
Global insurer, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, 2025–26

+50%

revenue from the largest partner

Context
A global insurer distributing through fintech and e-commerce partners in four countries. The largest was a LatAm payments super-app.
Scope
Digital growth across the partner portfolio.
What I did
Redesigned the loan-insurance purchase flow inside the largest partner's app, and prioritized product and AI bets across partners.
Outcome
Revenue from the largest partner rose 50%.

Capabilities: Distribution partnerships, conversion, portfolio prioritization

Scale

Credit card financing at scale

Squad Lead and Senior Product Manager, Credit Card
Brazilian neobank, São Paulo, 2019–21

+25%

credit card revenue

Context
One of the largest digital credit card books in Brazil, where every change ships to millions of customers.
Scope
Card financing, then the credit card innovation squad as Squad Lead.
What I did
Launched installment financing and self-service prepayment, then a multiple-cards architecture, managing the squad's PMs.
Outcome
Card revenue up 25% and support contacts down 40%. Card spend per customer up 15%.

Capabilities: Credit cards, financing, self-service, product leadership
